The barn
The barn was built in 1931 and spent seventy years holding hay. We spent two putting a floor in it, and the first wedding here was our daughter's.
We have hosted around ninety a year since. That is enough to have seen most of what can go wrong on a Saturday, and to have a plan for each of them.
Track record
We toured six barns and this was the only one where somebody answered the rain question without hedging.
